Best Time to See the Rock Bridge
Low tide + sunset gives the best conditions. At low tide, you can walk to the base of the arch and photograph from below. At high tide, the base is submerged and only the top arch is visible. Check tide tables for Andaman at timeanddate.com.
- Low tide + sunset = best overall shot
- Low tide + sunrise = dramatic orange behind the arch
- High tide = only top visible, reflected light in water
Camera Setup for the Rock Bridge
Sunset wide-angle: 16-35mm, f/8, ISO 100, tripod. Use a 3-stop ND grad filter to balance the bright sky against the darker rock. For the classic silhouette shot: expose for the sky, let the rock go dark. Bring a headlamp β the path back is dark after sunset.
