The Sunset Drum Circle & Flea Market
Every evening as the sun begins to set, musicians, dancers, and travelers intuitively gather on the main beach. Djembes, guitars, and flutes come out, creating a massive, spontaneous drum circle. Simultaneously, a highly informal "sunset market" materializes on the sand, with expats and travelers selling handmade jewelry, kombucha, tarot readings, and artwork from blankets.
This is not a commercial show; it is a genuine community gathering and forms the spiritual heart of the Arambol experience.
Sweet Water Lake & The Banyan Tree
A 15-minute walk north along the rocks from the main beach takes you to Kalacha Beach, home to the famous Sweet Water Lake—a fresh-water lagoon fed by hot springs from the Goan jungle, sitting mere meters from the ocean. You can take a dip in the warm fresh water and apply mineral-rich clay from the banks onto your skin.
From the lake, a short jungle trek leads to the "Baba Banyan Tree," a massive ancient tree where sadhus (holy men) and travelers gather to meditate and share stories around a constantly burning ritual fire.
